The P.A's name is Cari and she is very athletic and active. She does a lot of triathlons, and in a triathlon they run for miles, swim for miles, and ride their bikes for miles. For training on some days she'll ride her bike about 35 miles! Anyway I thought this piece was a good idea to paint for her and I'll be giving it to her tomorrow. :)</div></div>Sophia Harohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04057835730344223258noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4838809761163328890.post-42446998187641162312009-06-15T16:04:00.001-07:002009-06-15T16:17:31.848-07:00The Grind- Artist Reception<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_yQMisXNxCPc/SjbT1VJjiPI/AAAAAAAAADM/ZARXDc5G4xY/s1600-h/reception3.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5347694520712792306" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 213px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_yQMisXNxCPc/SjbT1VJjiPI/AAAAAAAAADM/ZARXDc5G4xY/s320/reception3.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_yQMisXNxCPc/SjbTv-6727I/AAAAAAAAADE/HoUa5nHz3Co/s1600-h/reception2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5347694428846545842" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 213px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_yQMisXNxCPc/SjbTv-6727I/AAAAAAAAADE/HoUa5nHz3Co/s320/reception2.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_yQMisXNxCPc/SjbTrvwjtOI/AAAAAAAAAC8/tnZ_GGYGAjQ/s1600-h/Reception.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5347694356057011426" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 213px" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_yQMisXNxCPc/SjbTrvwjtOI/AAAAAAAAAC8/tnZ_GGYGAjQ/s320/Reception.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div></div><div>This was at The Grind - Coffeehouse the night of June 12th. I painted it representing someone who has a special place in my heart. </div><div></div><div></div><div>First I sketched out the placement of the guitar and hand, then i added detail into the fingers making sure the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">proportion</span> was right.</div><div>I had to work quickly because water color dries fast and once you put it down you can't change it to much or it will just wipe away. So I was very careful with mixing the right shade of grey before putting it on the paper. This was <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">definitely</span> a challenging piece, it was my first time using water color at this level and I learned a great deal. I finished the piece in one sitting but it took me a good 4-5 hours of non stop painting to complete. </div>Sophia Harohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04057835730344223258noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4838809761163328890.post-74514116790480238782009-06-10T14:39:00.000-07:002009-06-10T21:32:03.471-07:00Shadow<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_yQMisXNxCPc/SjAoO34IurI/AAAAAAAAABs/GuwRN60z6tY/s1600-h/shadow.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345816993671461554" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 226px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_yQMisXNxCPc/SjAoO34IurI/AAAAAAAAABs/GuwRN60z6tY/s320/shadow.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><span style="font-size:130%;">Acrylic Paint on Neon Green Poster Paper</span></div><div></div><div>There weren't really any steps to this one.
