This painting is of my brother Diego. I was again experimenting with texture and loose brush strokes and I'm very happy with how it turned out. I used acrylic paint and water color.
I sold this piece of art along with one of my nudes at the First Friday in Camas. It was kind of sad to see it go but at the same time it felt like an acomplishment.
I've been in Texas going through an internship with a physicians assistant (P.A.) and to thank her for setting me up with this internship I decided to paint her something. The P.A's name is Cari and she is very athletic and active. She does a lot of triathlons, and in a triathlon they run for miles, swim for miles, and ride their bikes for miles. For training on some days she'll ride her bike about 35 miles! Anyway I thought this piece was a good idea to paint for her and I'll be giving it to her tomorrow. :)
This was at The Grind - Coffeehouse the night of June 12th. Tony Smiley preformed live, his music was amazing and full of passion. I'd say its a mix between alternative, electronic and dub. Tony really brought the place to life, heres his link if you'd like to check out some of his live music recording.
